“Lenovo is expected to launch the metal-clad Moto G5 series at MWC next month”
Lenovo has sent out invites to the press for an event on February 26th ahead of MWC in Barcelona. The press invite doesn’t reveal what the brand plans to unveil at the event. However, the “hellomoto” tagline of the event suggests the launch of new Moto series smartphones – allegedly the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
As for the phones in question, an alleged press render of the Moto G5 Plus was leaked recently. The render reveals that the Moto G5 Plus will sport a metal unibody design, which will be a first for Moto G series smartphones.
The device will get a physical home button, which is expected to integrate a fingerprint sensor beneath.
As per the earlier reports, the Moto G5 Plus will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, and will boot Android Nougat out of the box. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, mated to 4GB of RAM. The phone offers 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie snapper, and a 3,080mAh battery.
There’s not much information regarding the features of the Moto G5 at the moment. 91mobiles will be on the ground reporting from MWC next month, so stay tuned for more updates.
