In case you are a fitness freak, you will certainly be aware about the current state of the fitness trackers market. While fitness trackers used to be the “in thing” until a few years ago, the industry seems to have hit some sort of ceiling as far as innovations go. Of late, there have been a steady steam of me too products that doesn’t really add much of a value to the fitness tracker industry on the whole. Anyway, news is that we have new renders of what is said to be the new Garmin Vivosmart 3 – a new fitness tracker from the famous maker of GPS devices. Now, before you get all excited about the prospect of a brand new fitness tracker to splurge on, here’s the disclaimer.
These images were leaked by folks from over at Wareable . Even they are not sure about the authenticity of the images – thanks to the very obvious, extensive use of Photoshop. Even if this wasn’t just a creative visualization of a Garmin fanboy, and is indeed the real thing, it is not likely to set your pulse racing.
The first thing that might strike you when you look at the image is the unusual display size of the Garmin Vivosmart 3. The product seems to feature a rather longish display that goes quite some way down. At this time, we are not sure if this was a very poor photoshop attempt or a genuine feature addition. There could be use cases where a rather long display could prove helpful. The product also features a textured rubber material across the body. In fact, if you discount the longish display, the Garmin Vivosmart 3 looks like any other fitness tracker in the market today.
All said, what is still not known is an expected launch date or pricing details about this Garmin product. Do you see yourselves buying the Garmin Vivosmart 3 if and when it is launched later this year?
